Men’s Cycling Gloves

Bike gloves are considered a necessity for any rider who plans on riding often. Many riders would consider bike gloves necessary for any length of riding, whether it’s one mile or 100 miles. Bike gloves come in many different shapes, sizes, and styles and even have different functionality. Men’s mountain bike gloves are built for high grip and help with abrasions caused by pesky bushes whacking a rider’s hands. Road bike gloves are built for comfort and are generally lightweight and highly breathable. If you’re going to be sitting in the saddle for two or more hours, your hands better be comfortable.

Mountain bike gloves feature more robust materials than road bike gloves. When you are mountain biking, you’ll encounter debris, plants, rocks, and much more. You’ll need a glove that can protect your hands from the elements and still offer a high amount of grip and wick moisture away. Mountain bike gloves are generally full finger but gloves like the Fox MTB gloves will feature technology that allows riders to be able to use their phones without having to be removed.

Road bike gloves are lighter weight than mountain bike gloves and use a half-finger design instead of the full finger. This provides more ventilation to the hand while riding. Road bike gloves come with ample padding strategically placed in the palm to increase rider’s comfort while riding. This also provides vibration damping so riders can ride longer with less fatigue. The material used in the road gloves is lightweight and breathable to keep riders cool while they’re cruisin’ the streets.

Most riders know that every day isn’t sunshine, rainbows, and butterflies outside. That’s where cold weather riding gloves come in. These gloves come in different levels of thickness depending on how cold it is outside. Sometimes there is just a chill in the air, so a windproof cycling glove will be best. Sometimes it is raining outside, so a waterproof cycling glove is best. Other times it is just plain freezing outside, so that’s where riders will go for the winter cycling gloves. The colder it is outside, the thicker the glove you’ll want to wear. Nothing is worse than going out for a ride and having your hands hurt the entire time because of the freezing air.

Whether you’re mountain biking, road biking, or just commuting to work, Jenson USA has some of the best cycling gloves for every situation. Some riders have multiple gloves, so they ride the trails one day, cruise the bike path another day, and then ride in the snow the next day. If you want to know what gloves are best for your style of riding or are just curious which gloves we’re stoked on, just ask one of our Gear Advisors.
